On the battlefield of Oravais, Finland's fate was decided in September 1808. Today, you can take part in historical facts in a different way, because we have chosen to bring our history to life.

Here you can see the Ostrobothnia Regiment doing military exercises in contemporary uniforms. You can attend events all year round – see our website www.oravais1808.fi – or visit the area. At any time, you can look at the memorial pillar, Lotta Svärdsstenen and take part of the information on the signs.

At the battlefield there is a museum and the restaurant Ädelbragd. Both are open by appointment. The restaurant also organises themed dinners.

During the summer, the museum and summer café are open.
